Retail Solutions Consulting was founded in 2015 by our Managing Director, Alistair McDonald, with over two decades of delivering change and leading IT projects specifically in the Retail sector.

Having gained experience in the luxury department store sector, Alistair had a pivotal role in Harvey Nichols implementing a new ERP (which is still in use 15 years later) and being an early adopter in omnichannel (or multi-channel, as it was back then) for high fashion clothing. Alistair then continued to use this experience, successfully delivering projects in the fast paced environment at Selfridges.

Retail Solutions Consulting was then born, working with our friends at Retail 247 as their first consultant. He has lead teams at Ted Baker, AllSaints and G-Star RAW, leveraging his knowledge to successfully deliver projects that enable business change.

Alistair has the gravitas to communicate with senior business sponsors, dealing with 3rd parties and challenging them where needed, and creating partnerships at all clients where he has provided his services.
